Week 13 Assignments

Lectures

Our next topic looks at accessing files on your computer. In many (most) programs, your data is not fed to the program by a human. Instead, it comes from other programs, and you need to access those data by reading the data from a file. For our work, all of these files will be text files, meaning the data can be created with a simple text editor. That is fine for starters, but some data files are not in human readable form. We will leave that topic for a later course.

Homework

There is no homework this week.

Lab Project

This week’s lab project is a kind of review. You will work on a simple program hat solves a real problem, buying a car.

The program is not just a simple calculation project. Instead, it is a form of simulation. You can run it several times, changing some of the data to see how things might go.
