Getting Started with Git

Git_ is a new tool that has taken software development world by storm! In this
lecture, we will make sure you are ready to use this cool tool. Later lectures
in this section will introduce you to more interesting features of the tool.
For now, we just need to know the basics!

The tool installation notes are actually in the Appendix. For convenience,
there  are links to thos enotes in the first lecture in this section.
